Located in Palermo, this 1,200 m² building comprises one- and two-room units, a rooftop terrace and an on-site café. Designed for short-term stays, the project expresses its identity through a coherent architectural and interior design strategy that connects all spaces—from the private units to the shared common areas. This integrated approach enhances the user experience, strengthens the relationship between architecture and place, and encourages social interaction within the building.
The interior design draws on key principles of Japanese architecture, emphasizing functionality, simplicity and visual calm. Natural materials, a neutral palette and a strong sense of order create clear, intuitive and welcoming environments suited to everyday use. These qualities result in serene and versatile spaces that reinforce the building’s identity while supporting its short-term rental purpose.
